Austin Redondo was tired. Tired of his umbrella falling over the moment he set it down. Tired of his banana rolling helplessly off the kitchen counter. Tired of his riot shield slumping forward in the office break room during lunch.

In the spring of 2024, in a basement in Omaha, Nebraska, Austin prototyped the first KickStan — a small, durable, telescoping aluminum leg that could be affixed to virtually anything that didn't already have a leg.
